MBA Students May Learn How To Avoid Another Economic Catastrophe

While it's been no secret that the economy has caused many people to shy away from the business world, some people are using an MBA program to look into other areas for a career change.

Some individuals may feel that they cannot get ahead in their current field, which is why they may decide to switch careers, furthering their education to do so, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Financial Times reports that many business schools are learning from the mistakes of the current economy, and incorporating new ideas into their MBA programs to teach students how to properly succeed in business. The hope is that these new ideas will help keep another economic meltdown from occurring.

"Every business school is thinking: what can we learn from this?" John Fernandes, president and chief executive of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, told the news provider.

An MBA program could be a great way to get ahead in the working world. While it may provide you with the knowledge to keep business afloat, it may also offer ways to properly market yourself to potential employers and business opportunities.

MBA held for producing fake certificate to get US visa

CHENNAI: An MBA graduate was arrested on Monday for producing a fake IT experience certificate at the US Consulate here to get a visa.

The police said B Prashanth of Andhra Pradesh after getting the certificate, for Rs 4,000 in Hyderabad from a man called Satish Reddy, was called for an interview here on Monday. During the interview, he gave doubtful information about his work experience. When interrogated further, he confessed that he had completed his MBA and obtained the fake certificate through his friend.

Prashanth said he had not found any job in Andhra and planned to fly to the US in search of employment. As advised by a travel agent, he included a fake experience certificate and enclosed it with his application.

Based on the complaint of consulate officials, Prashanth was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on Tuesday after being produced before a magistrate court. Further investigations are on.
